The redevelopment introduced new treatment facilities to accommodate an additional 25,000 patients annually. Facilities include an inpatient South Wing, additional operating theatres, more ICU/ CCU beds, an expanded birth suite, and a new Cancer Centre.

 

A new multi-storey Medical Centre (Wexford Medical Centre) was built fronting Barry Marshall Parade, and the hospital also became home to WA’s largest standalone Endoscopy Unit, featuring new procedure rooms.
