SINGAPORE GENERAL HOSPITAL

Located within the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) campus, Outram Community Hospital was developed as part of Singapore’s Health Care 2020 Master Plan to support the country’s growing and evolving healthcare needs. SGH, Singapore’s oldest and largest hospital, is the flagship of the nation’s public healthcare system, providing specialist care, medical education, and clinical research through a team-based model. Co-located with five National Specialist Centres, the SGH campus enables a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to care.

Outram Community Hospital was the result of an international design competition won by B+H Architects, in collaboration with Silver Thomas Hanley and local partner CIAP Architects. The facility was designed to strengthen the continuum of care between acute and subacute treatment, with direct connections to SGH at levels three and four to streamline patient transfers and minimise delays in ongoing care.
