AN aged care provider will be opening a $60 million facility in Mirrabooka in 2020, in a bid to connect residents with their community.
Property group Pindan started construction at Myvista’s second aged care facility last month.
The development, on the corner of Mirrabooka Avenue and Reid Highway, will feature a 112-bed aged care facility, corporate offices, a therapy pool, 45 retirement apartments, a cafe, GP practice, pharmacy, physiotherapy and a 24-hour gym.
Chairman Tony Vallelonga said the location would allow residents to access local communities and boost population density in the town centre.
“We are proud to be offering the local community modern facilities, close to shops and amenities that will enable to them to remain active and socially connected as they age in place,” he said.
“This new development is a first for the area and region and we are excited about bringing it to this local community.”
Pindan constructions director Mark Thompson said the building company worked with Myvista staff, Total Project Management and architects Silver Thomas Hanley on the design and were excited to see the project take shape.
