OSBOINE AGED CARE

The Glass Wing at Osboine Contemporary Aged Care represents a considered architectural response to the evolving needs of high-care residential living. Designed by Silver Thomas Hanley, this expansion delivers private, dignified accommodation in a setting that balances operational efficiency with a strong emphasis on resident wellbeing.

Each room includes a generously sized ensuite and is oriented around a central activity courtyard, offering visual connection to nature and a focal point for community interaction. Large lounge areas are strategically placed at corridor junctions, fragmenting the traditional institutional plan into a more legible layout. These common spaces support social engagement while also acting as intuitive wayfinding markers, assisting residents with orientation - particularly important in aged care and dementia-friendly environments.
