The new $67 million Emergency Department (ED) facility includes 14 bed bays, a resuscitation room, plaster/treatment and consultation rooms, as well as three 30-bed wards for emergency admissions. The design emphasises a unique patient experience, incorporating biophilic design principles throughout. Sustainable materials, timber panelling, nature-inspired wall graphics, large skylights, and an earth-toned palette create a warm, non-clinical environment that fosters comfort and wellbeing.
