St John of God Hospital Murdoch Redevelopment
Involved a review/update of the existing site masterplan and the definition of the scope of work to meet the hospital’s service and business objectives. This required the development and detailed investigation of a range of facility redevelopment options for consideration by the SJOG governing Board.
The Murdoch expansion will increase the hospital from 357 to 522 beds, which combined with more treatment facilities, including additional theatres, new medical clinic and a cancer centre will allow an additional 25,000 patients to be cared for each year.
The redevelopment features:
Construction commenced early 2012; with a staged construction approach ensuring services are able to come online from early 2013. Construction is due for completion in early 2015.
